Liposuction or liposculpture on the face and neck assumes particular aspects but follows the standards defined for these procedures in other parts of the body. Liposuction can be used alone or associated with other surgeries (face lift, neck lift). Liposculpture consists of liposuction in other regions of the body, with subsequent treatment and manipulation of the fat that is injected into the face. It is an alternative to dermal implants such as hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite. Before liposuction, analyzes must be carried out (especially the study of coagulation) and certain medications (aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs, for example) and tobacco must be suspended at least one month before surgery. In these areas, liposuction is usually performed under local anesthesia.
