Lifting with Threads

With the aim of combating sagging skin in certain areas, different types of threads have been used that can contribute to the correction or improvement of these situations. The most current model of resorbable threads has as its principle the creation of a fibrosis zone, at the site of resorption, which produces a tensor effect and fights sagging. They can be applied to the face, neck and other areas of the body. The success of thread treatments largely depends on whether the situation to be treated is a clear indication for this method. The treatment is performed under local anesthesia and allows an immediate return to normal activities.

Lifting the eyebrows is intended to restore the natural position of the forehead and eyebrows, caused by age-related sagging of the skin. It has a dramatic result in facial aesthetics. It modifies the relationship of forces of the regional muscles (orbital and frontal) and reduces the local wrinkles. It can also be achieved (in a more moderate and non-invasive way) using botulinum toxin (Botox, Dysport, Bocouture). This type of surgery can be combined with blepharoplasty or a face lift. The surgery can be performed with local anesthesia and light sedation and the recovery time is around seven days.
